Cycling at Pulau Ubin

Guys!

I know how most of you are feeling; either you are too bored staying at home or too busy with your streeful work. So it's time to "de-stress" ( i know Miss Wu will correct my mistake again) and enjoy life!

Ken and I will be planning for a trip to Pulau Ubin on the coming Sunday morning (1st March). We will be renting bike near the jetty and then cycle around to explore.

Bike rental:

Comfort Bicycle Rental & Trading
For Adult : S$8.00 to S$14.00 per day
For Children: S$3.00 to S$ 8.00 per day.

(i believe some of you may qualify for Children so it will be much cheaper^^)

Cost of the bumboat: $2.50/person (wef 15 Apr 08). Maximum 12 passengers
2 way will then be: $5.00/person

How to get there:

Alight at Tanah Merah MRT Station and take bus no. 2 there.
We will need to walk a little distance to the jetty (early Warm up^^)

Schedule:

10.30: Meet at Tanah Merah MRT Station
12.00: Rental of bike and cycle around (e.g. chek jawa)
15.30: Lunch ( Church people can join us this time at Ubin^^)
17.00-19.00: Free and easy (Ball game, card game, chit chat and slack.... watch Sunset?)
19.00: Bumboat back to Spore Island
1930 onwards: Home/ dinner at Changi V

A mass relay will have been sent to all of you. Please reply immediately when you finish seeing this post to either Ken or me. Latest by Wednesday night.

Hope to see you there^^

Collect your Broader Perspective

Dear all,

I am back to haunt you guys with GP! Haha. Hope you're all doing well. Boys: I know most of you have enlisted. Looking good eh!

Anyway, I know this may be something you don't really care about now but the last few issues of Broader Perspectives have arrived in school. We didn't know how bad School of Thought have screwed the timing up. Apparently, they couldn't work in time for the issues to be delivered to you guys before the exams. (See, school teachers are much more efficient!). Since you paid for them, I would like to ask what you'd like to do with them.

Some options:

1) Collect them when you come back in March to get the results (this I would need my previous capable GP reps to collect from Mr Mohan)

2) Donate all your copies to your juniors in JC2 and the new JC1s (perhaps my classes - I'll be teaching JC1s this year)

3) Come back to school to take them from me (must do this before 23 Feb as I would be leaving to deliver my baby)

Let me know what you think k? Keep reading, it's a good habit and you will need lots of knowledge when you get to Uni!

Cheers,
Ms Wu
